Açaí Bowls | Vegan Breakfast Ideas
I finally homemade my first Açaí Bowl and WOW! Why did I wait so long to start making this delicious breakfast bowl?! A little background, Açaí is derived from Brazil and the puree is a perfect replacement for yogurt to make smoothie bowls. You can get extremely creative with your mixture and toppings, but below is a very simple recipe to get you started.
Ingredients: Açaí Puree (I found this in the frozen section of my grocery store)
Frozen Mixed Berries
Unsweetened Milk of Choice (I used Soy)
Add your Açaí puree to a blender with about a cup of frozen berries. Add in 1/4 cup flax seed and enough milk to just cover your ingredients. Blend together until smooth.
Transfer mixture to a bowl of your choice and add on your toppings. I used bananas, granola, and coconut flakes, but get creative! Any berries would have been a perfect topping for this combination. Enjoy!!
