Pan Seared Tofu | Easy Tofu Recipe

This simple pan seared tofu is the perfect addition to any stir fry, salad, wrap, or just for a snack all on their own! With minimal ingredients needed, this is the perfect way to add some protein into your day, even on the busiest of days. Let's get cooking!
Ingredients: 1 Package of Extra Firm Tofu
1-2 Tbs Soy Sauce
1-2 Tbs Teriyaki Sauce
Olive Oil
Press out your tofu for a minimum of 10 minutes. I wrap mine in a towel, set it between 2 plates, and then place something heavy on top (like cans of food or sauces).
Once tofu is pressed, cut it into fairly even sized cubes (because let's be honest, I can never get them all to be the same size.)
Heat your oil in a skillet over medium heat. I find the tofu sears best over a lower heat to stop it from burning or sticking to the pan. This also helps to give it a perfect crunch.
Add in your tofu and flip once the bottoms begin to brown slightly. I find chopsticks to be the best method for flipping.
Once the other side has browned slightly, remove your tofu from the heat to add in both your soy and teriyaki sauces. Add back to your heat and lower to a simmer. Toss here and there for about 5 minutes. Enjoy!
