Chicago Diner | The Original Vegan Comfort Spot

Chicago Diner was one of the first meat-free restaurants to pop-up in Chicago all the way back in 1983. The restaurant has an old school diner vibe and features a variety of comfort foods. They even serve some of the best non-dairy milkshakes I've ever had.

Every time I find myself at the Diner I try something new on the menu. They offer everything from breakfast foods to wings, chick'n fried steaks, homemade soups; pretty much anything you want, they've got it. Pictured above is their chillaquiles with tofu scramble, Cajun black bean burger with vegan chili, and their seitan gyro with mac and cheez.

They recently opened their 2nd location in Logan Square, but the OG restaurant is in the middle of boystown. It's the perfect neighborhood to walk around after stuffing your face with their amazing food. The next time you are in the Windy City, make sure you stop in for a bite!
